My Approach
You’ve likely spent plenty of time and effort trying to figure out how to improve your life in one way or another. If you're still finding yourself stuck in the same old patterns, I’d like to support you in the process of opening up to new ways of creating positive change in your life. I believe that you and I can work together to discover a more peaceful and meaningful life. This means working together to uncover new strategies for managing painful thoughts, memories and emotions.

I find that therapy is most effective when counselor and client have a good working relationship. That's why I will work with you to identify what you want to get out of therapy. After our goals are defined, I utilize a tailored combination of evidence-based therapeutic techniques including IFS, ACT and Mindfulness-Based Techniques.

It requires strength and courage to reach out for support in improving your quality of life. However, it is my hope that together, we will make this a worth-while experience with lasting effects. If you are interested or curious about starting therapy with me, please reach out. I would love to support you in your healing journey.
Qualifications
I am licensed by the North Carolina Board of Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselors (LCMHC #14052). I have a Master’s degree in counselor education in addition to a Bachelor’s degree in both psychology and sociology. I’ve worked in multiple settings including an HIV/AIDs treatment center, community mental health centers and inpatient eating disorder hospitals. This experience informs my work in private practice, taking a unique approach to treating a variety of concerns.
About Me
I'm Hannah. I am a goofy, imperfect human who is passionate about her work. In my free time, I like to listen to podcasts, spend time in nature, refurbish furniture and snuggle with my dog, Noodle. I have a loving partner of over eight years. He is a goofy, imperfect human just like me. Together, we like to play board games, spend time with friends and go see movies.

All that being said, I am also someone who has experienced her own struggles with mental health. I have had to put in my own work through therapy and other forms of mental and emotional healing. I don’t mind sharing more about my story if it’s helpful to know that your therapist may be able to relate to your experience, but I also want therapy to be about you and your healing journey. I can’t wait to take those first steps together!
